CYBER APTITUDE TYPOLOGY INDICATOR
Our Cyber Aptitude Typology Indicator, or CATI, is a metric-based assessment that identifies an individual's aptitude and matches their learning preference, personality characteristics, and skillsets with their optimal cyber work role.
For individuals, the CATI assessment and follow-on course will help determine if a cybersecurity career is right for them. For organizations, CATI provides a means to evaluate the composition of their cyber workforce.
CATI WAS CREATED WITH TWO OBJECTIVES IN MIND:
Support new and different populations with actionable metrics that help ease their path towards a successful career in cybersecurity.
Reinforce the growth and composition of established cybersecurity teams.
FIND YOUR FIT
Reduce barriers to entry into the field of cybersecurity by identifying aptitude and understanding your natural fit work cybersecurity work role(s).
IDENTIFY & RECRUIT
Strategically recruit new talent and identify existing employees with potential to transition into cybersecurity careers.
BUILD YOUR TEAM
Strengthen your cyber team composition and confidently invest in cybersecurity talent development.
Leveraging centuries old research from Carl Jung and the mother-daughter duo of Myers-Briggs, By Light has applied aptitude theories and personality assessments to the globally recognized National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Framework and National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Cybersecurity Framework to develop the CATI assessment.
CATI evaluates each individual’s unique personality characteristics, intrinsic learning preferences, and skillsets to provide actionable metrics that determine their most compatible work role and career path in cyber.
SHAPING THE CYBERSECURITY
WORKFORCE OF THE FUTURE
The current cybersecurity workforce gap demands a shift in how we identify, recruit, educate, and upskill cybersecurity professionals. We are paving the way for individuals to find their natural fit for a work role and career in cyber through the development of our CATI assessment and course.
The CATI assessment and course uses actionable metrics to identify an individual’s cyber aptitude and then matches their learning preferences, personality characteristics, and skillsets with a cybersecurity work role that best suits them now and in the future.
